EUREKA - Optimal Welding Parameters of Sa 387 Gr.91 Thick Steel Plates in Corrosive Environment

The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the University "Džemal Bijedić" Mostar participates as a project partner in the EUREKA project - Optimal welding parameters of SA 387 Gr. 91 thick steel plates in corrosive environment.
Project coordinator of the Republic of Serbia: dr. sc. Meri Burzić from the University of Belgrade, Innovation Center of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, with partners BASKET doo, Užice, MTK Metal-Komerc doo, Bela Zemlja,
BiH Project Coordinator: dr.sc. Mersida Manjgo from Džemal Bijedić University of Mostar, Mechanical Faculty, with partner BEKTO PRECIZA doo, Goražde.
The aim of the project is to define the optimal welding parameters of alloy Cr-Mo steel, which should enable the production of corrosion-resistant welded joints and joints where the presence of welding defects and cracks is minimized. Also, in the design phase due to extremely good mechanical properties, as well as resistance to the presence and propagation of cracks in operating conditions, its application will achieve significant savings in material and a significant reduction in the risk of fracture.
The project will be implemented in the period 2016-2018.
