Students of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering on exchange in the winter semester 2019/20

The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the University "Džemal Bijedić" in Mostar offers its full-time students the opportunity to go to study in some of the European universities for a period of one semester during one academic year. Courses passed during the exchange are recognized as equivalent subjects of the enrolled study program. So far, the students of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering have made numerous exchanges at universities in Finland, Belgium, Italy, Poland and other European countries, from where they returned with positive impressions, and those who were able repeated their exchange. During the exchange at European universities, students receive a scholarship that covers the costs of their stay at the host university. The largest number of exchanges were realized by the students of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering through the European Union program ERASMUS +, but also through other programs such as Mevlana, Ceepus and others.

Calls for exchanges at individual universities are regularly published on the faculty website.

You can get more detailed information about the possibility of exchange from the faculty coordinator for international exchange via e-mail edin.dziho [@] unmo.ba

Statements of students who were on an exchange in one of the EU countries

Going on a student exchange in Ancona is something I would recommend to anyone looking to make new friendships, expand their engineering knowledge, learn what real pizza is and have the honor of being surrounded by breathtaking art and architecture.

Almira Masleša, second cycle student

Feeling a different way of studying, taking exams in front of other professors are all experiences that build us and in which we once again see how with effort and desire we can do a lot, and how it is the only way to success.

Dalilda Sirko, second cycle student

With prior permission from the professor, you can stay all day in the workshops and laboratories of the faculty and work with the most modern equipment.

Ammar Šabanović, first cycle student

I can rightly say that going to Finland is my best decision so far. This is a unique opportunity that young people should take advantage of.

Muhibic Jasmina, second cycle student

Student exchange is a great opportunity to meet a large number of people from different parts of the world in one place, improve your English, but also learn a new one, and visit a new country and meet its people, which was the reason for my application to the student exchange program.

Armina Pračić, first cycle student

Independence, responsibility, a new culture, new friends in every part of the world, learning or perfecting a language, new knowledge are just some of the elements that are offered to you by getting involved in a student exchange project.

Amna Proho, first cycle student

Building a new life with people who become your second family, becoming independent, gaining many friendships, getting to know a new culture, getting to know your profession more deeply and seeing things we don’t get a chance to see in our state are just some of the reasons to go on exchange.

Ajla Husagić, first cycle student

This is one of the best experiences provided to young people.
A student who has stayed in another country on an exchange is becoming more attractive not only to domestic employers,
its employment opportunities in the international labor market are already increasing sharply.

Arman Ćorić, second cycle student

You get the opportunity to spend five months in a completely new and unpredictable environment, living and working with people from all over the world, from China and India all the way to Brazil or Mexico.

Amar Šabanović, first cycle student

The practical knowledge I gained there exceeded my expectations. A warm welcome, motivation to transfer their knowledge and introduce you to their laboratories are what distinguishes the professors of this faculty.

Almira Masleša, second cycle student

I am grateful for the opportunity and I would recommend everyone who is eager for new adventures and knowledge to decide to take this step.

Semira Omerika, second cycle student

Classes for exchange students are always in English and they like it when you ask professors for ambiguities if you have them. They will explain to you until you say you understand.

Lejla Čardžić, first cycle student

During the exchange I had the opportunity to meet students from all over the world and the opportunity to visit tourist countries. At the faculty, the employees are very kind, and they try to help in every way and are available to international students at all times.

Muhibic Jasmina, second cycle student

Like any beginning, it was not very pleasant, but in 15 days all the torments that await you when you come to the unknown are forgotten.

Aida Fišić, second cycle student

Being an Erasmus student means living in a country that has always been interesting to you, and meeting wonderful people with whom you will plan to meet again immediately upon your return.

Dalida Sirko, first cycle student

Given the very decent amount of the scholarship, I was also able to travel, get to know cities all over Italy, so in a very nice way I combined the pleasant with the useful.
