About the Institute of Mechanical Engineering

The Institute of Mechanical Engineering was formed and operates as a scientific research unit of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. It was created in the early eighties, growing out of the Institute of Mechanical Engineering, the first scientific research institution in the territory of Herzegovina, which dealt with the problems of the metal processing industry.
The Institute of Mechanical Engineering is one of the carriers of scientific work, knowledge transfer between industry and the University, and the link between scientific research, production process and higher education.
The Institute has successfully implemented more than 50 scientific research projects, over 500 scientific and professional projects for the needs of the economy of various levels of complexity. The institute is conceived in such a way that through its activities, in the most appropriate way, all employees and associates of the faculty are involved in solving scientific and professional problems.
The Institute is capable of solving even the most complex tasks and achieves notable cooperation with related institutions in the country, and has the support of a number of foreign universities, which is an additional guarantee of its future development and progress.
